State must honor plea agreement made with defendant

Criminal law -- Murder -- Death penalty -- Agreement between defendant and state attorney for judicial circuit where some of acts constituting defendant's offenses occurred for state not to seek the death penalty in exchange for defendant's cooperation in finding body of murder victim was binding on state attorney for a different judicial circuit where trial was held. Defendant's sentence of death vacated and remanded for imposition of life sentence without parole based on defendant's performance of his part of agreement with state. Read Case Below:
